Fashion Trends And Music

Name that tune! Well, not quite.

Billed as the “world’s first plus-size fashion mall” when it launched two years ago, OneStopPlus.com is now showcasing its Fall 2008 trends and their relationships with different genres of music.

Each of the eight different Fall 2008 trends was paired with a different musical genre – heavy metal, mix master, country, smooth jazz, rhythm & blues, rock, salsa and house music. OneStopPlus.com sells the product lines of Redcats USA’s specialty-size apparel titles, including: Woman Within, Roaman’s, Jessica London, Avenue, Chadwick’s Woman and Taillissime.

Here’s a taste of the Fall trends offered by OneStopPlus.com:

Heavy Metal – these hard rocking fashions are all about “attention getters”

– metallics and fabrics that shine – sequined tunic, ruffled sweater,

metallic tee, sequined cardigan and high-stepping stretch leather boots.

Mix Master – Solids and prints create a smooth move – you can even “mix”

prints with prints to make a bold statement on the dance floor – artsy

swiss dot tunic, bejeweled tunic, tie-dye crossover tunic, V-neck blouse,

velour tunic or spicy patent open-toe pumps. Bold accessories add just the

right touch!

Country – Step aside “southern belles” and look at the rich plaids, soft

corduroys and supple leather that makes up this collection – kabuki knot

yarn sweater, brushed plaid skirt, expandable hobo bag, moleskin jacket,

denim shirt, classic 5-pocket jeans and sharp corduroy jacket. You will

stand out from the rest of the “line dancers” in these comfortable and chic

designs.

When a customer reaches www.onestopplus.com, there is the following message: “I want … the trends that top the charts!” Pat Cross, vice president of corporate public relations and communications for Redcats USA, says the revamped site launched Oct. 13.

And further embellishments with the musical theme are ahead. “Actually, the reference to music is more about creating a mood and tone based on visuals and phrases around musical themes versus “literal” music,” she explains. “In the future, we look forward to enhancing this fantastic concept with actual music. For now, it is more about setting a fun, upbeat tone for our customers and creating a more enjoyable shopping experience.”
