“Face to Face Interfacing is Obsolete”

Anyone watch “King of the Hill” on Sunday? It definitely could have doubled as an infomercial for MySpace, which is coincidentally owned News Corp. (The parent company of Fox Broadcasting, too). The skinny: Strickland Propane was losing business to a rival that was using social networking. So the company launched its own MySpace page.

In addition to a conventional coupon for $1 off its fresh chicken, Springer Mountain Farms includes a QR code for a “mobile bonus” of another $1. The ad includes the six steps involved in downloading a tag reader—which is a bit text heavy and at first glance unfortunately resembles the rules for a entering sweepstakes–or customers can text special keywords to access its mobile site. more

Macy’s: Do You Believe?

With apologies to Al Michaels, do you believe in miracles? Or should I say the miracle of the holiday season?
