Snapple Out of It

Few brands typify such a quick, steep spiral downward as Snapple. Once the hottest beverage on earth, Snapple seems lost in the mix of water, energy drinks, fortified waters and juices. In an effort to revive the once powerhouse brand, the company is turning to a new formula, new packaging and an updated advertising and marketing strategy to reverse the brands fortunes. It will retain the tag line “Made from the best stuff on earth.”

One Comment to “Snapple Out of It”

  1. 2 major factors have affected this Brand….

    1. Cadbury Schweppes purchasing the brand. (nuff said)
    2. Cadbury Schweppes laying off the remaining Marketing teams at the end of 2007 and shipping the Brand to Texas headquarters. (They should have sold it while they had the chance.)

“Snapple tea volume declined about 9% in the first nine months of this year (2008), after rising more than 13% in 2007, estimated John Sicher, editor and publisher of Beverage Digest.”

    R.I.P. Snapple. F.U. Larry Young
