Surprise! Andy Nulman’s on Craig Ferguson

As I watched “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson” last night, all I could think of was how insanely jealous 99.9% of the marketing book authors in the world must be at that very moment.

There on my screen in the wee hours was Andy Nulman, plugging his marketing book “Pow! Right Between the Eyes: Profiting From the Power of Surprise.” What’s next? Arthur Middleton Hughes on “The Colbert Report?”

Of course, Nulman has an in with the late night comedy set. As one of the founders of Montreal’s Just for Laughs comedy festival, he’s personal friends with Ferguson (who, along with Monty Python’s John Cleese wrote the forward for the book).

As we reported back in March, Nulman is trying to put his money where his mouth is by coming up with unusual ways to plug his book, like a line of “Pow!” jeans. Seeing him pop up in the second guest spot–amidst Ferguson’s usual puppets and silliness–was certainly a surprise to my insomniac eyes.

  1. Thanks so much for this Beth, you are very sweet. But frankly, rather than jealous, I think that at the moment of my appearance with Craig, 99.9% of all marketing authors in the world were asleep. ;)

    Love & kisses,
    –Andy

  2. Ha! At the time, I was wishing I was asleep too! (I DVR Craig every night and watch the next day–he’s great.)
