I Often Wonder…

? Do you, like me, often question things and have a hard time making sense of it all?

* For instance, do you contemplate all the publicity– before and after — all the Super Bowl ads receive and wonder, why do so few people talk about the sales impact the spots made…or did not make?

* Who orders things from Facebook ads?

* Why so much advertising is entertaining when we know, for the most part, that those oh so clever ads rarely work?

* Why our email filters do not capture more SPAM?

* How Social Media has made us less Social?

* Why measurable marketing and relevant segmentation is so rarely done in marketing even today?

* Why I remember so few of the ads broadcast during the Olympics?

* Think about how I really miss printed magazines and newsletters?

I could go on, but what about you?

  1. I could go on and on about this same topic! Do you ever wonder how or why or when all the hours that you put into social marketing media (twitter, facebook, you know!) is paying off?! I mean really… it is fun and I do enjoy it, and yet it is part of a business day!

  2. Grant what goes around comes around and we will see it all again. Maybe social media isn’t the type of traditional socialization we all know and love, but it sure bares peoples souls to a level never seen before. I seek balance in all the mediums to make things work together. Put your happy hat on.
